How much will my project cost?

Do I need a permit?
It depends on the project and where you live. Requirements differ by city and county, so check with your local building department.
How long will my project take?
It depends on the size of the project, the materials, the weather, and any permits. Wade can talk it through with you at your free estimate.
Do you build both elevated and ground-level decks?
Yes. Multi-level decks off a second story, ground-level decks, and the staircases and railings that connect them, all built by Redbone Woodworks. See custom deck building.
What is the difference between a screened porch and a covered porch?
A covered porch has a roof and open sides. A screened porch adds screening on the open sides to keep insects out. Both give shade and rain cover. See screened and covered porches.
What kinds of railing do you build?
Stainless cable, hog-wire panels, and traditional wood or metal baluster systems, matched to the deck and the house. See custom railing systems.
Do you build fences?
Yes, residential fencing is one of our services, alongside decks and screened-in porches. See our fence page for the details.
Do you only work on homes?
Yes. Redbone Woodworks LLC is residential only: decks, porches, railing, and fencing for homeowners.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Redbone Woodworks LLC is licensed and insured.
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes. Redbone Woodworks guarantees the product for workmanship for a period of 90 days after completion.
What payment methods do you accept?
Cash or check.
Do you speak Spanish?

What should I have ready when I call?
Your address, a rough idea of the size, what you want built, and photos of the yard if you have them. If you know your budget, tell us. It helps us recommend materials that fit.
Can a deck be added to later?
Often. A deck can take a roof and screens, or a new railing, once we check that the framing and footings can carry it. It helps to plan for it before the deck is built.
