Fence company in Birmingham, AL.

Fences for homeowners across the Birmingham area, built with the same attention to detail Wade puts into every deck.

The Work

Fencing, built with care.

Whether it is privacy for a backyard, a boundary line, or a way to keep the dog in, a fence is part of how you use your yard. Wade walks the fence line with you, listens to what you want, and treats your property as if it were his own. It is the same attention to detail we put into every deck, applied to your fence line.

Before We Build

Property line

Know where it goes

A fence belongs on your side of the line. If you are not sure where the boundary is, confirm it before posts go in. A survey is the reliable answer.

Utilities

Call 811 first

Anyone digging post holes should have underground utilities marked before digging starts. It is a free call.

Rules

City and HOA limits

Height, style, and setback rules vary by city and by neighborhood association. Check yours before you pick a design.

Pair It With a Deck

Fence and outdoor living in one plan.

Fence plans often go hand in hand with a new deck or screened porch. Planning both together keeps the gate locations, the stairs, and the sight lines working together. In Trussville, Pelham and Alabaster, fenced back yards are common, and the fence is often planned around the deck.

Quick Answers

Fence FAQ

How much does a fence cost?
Fence price is driven mostly by linear footage, height, style, gates, and terrain. We quote it per property after we walk the fence line, and the estimate is free.
How do I know where my property line is?
Check your deed and survey. If you are not certain, get the boundary confirmed before building. A fence built over the line can be expensive to move.
Do I need a permit or HOA approval for a fence?
Often, one or the other. Rules differ by city, county, and neighborhood, so check with your local building department and your HOA before you finalize a design.
How long does a fence last?
It depends on the lumber, how the posts were set, how much sun and moisture the fence sees, and whether it is sealed or stained. Well-built fences that are maintained last much longer than neglected ones.
