A deck built for your house, not off a catalog page.
A good deck builder starts with your house and your yard, not a standard plan. We look at how the deck will connect to the home, where the ground falls away, how you use the space, and which doors it needs to serve. Then we frame it to carry the load and finish it so it looks like it was always part of the property.
Wade Lyon, owner: “I got into building decks because I’ve always had a passion for creating something tangible that people can enjoy for years to come. There’s nothing more rewarding than completing a project and seeing a customer excited about a space that will bring their family and friends together.”

What goes into a deck that lasts.
Footings and framing
The parts you will never see decide how the deck ages. Footings sized for the load, a properly flashed and fastened connection to the house, and framing that stays flat.
Decking that fits your budget
Most decks use pressure-treated lumber, composite boards, or a mix. We talk through upkeep, look, and price during the consult so you choose with the trade-offs in front of you.
Stairs that feel right
Elevated decks live or die by their staircases. We lay out stairs so they are comfortable to use and match the lines of the deck, whether the drop is short or runs down a hillside.
Finish work
Clean cuts, consistent gaps, hidden or tidy fasteners, and a site swept before we leave. Attention to detail is the whole pitch.
Elevated deck, ground-level deck, or both.
Around Birmingham, Hoover and Vestavia Hills, a lot of yards slope, so elevated decks off the back of the house are common. They give you level living space over uneven ground and can sit above a lower patio. Ground-level decks work well on flatter lots and keep the structure simple.
Either style can be extended later. A deck can take a roof and screens as a screened porch, or get a cleaner look with cable railing. Planning for that up front saves money compared with rebuilding parts of the deck later.
Off the second story or a hillside
Multi-level layouts, longer stairs, and railing that has to meet local code for height and spacing.
Patio-style decks
A lower, simpler structure that works well beside a fence line or a fire pit area.
Stairs, railing, roof, screens
Each is quoted as part of one plan so the deck is designed for what it will eventually carry.
